Shanipaar Chowk
Shanipaar Chowk is a four way junction in Pune where an old temple of Shani(god) lies at one side and famous historical structure, vishram baug wada on the other. Whenever I pass by this chowk I always think of sketching these old buildings while waiting for my signal turn to green. But it is always so crowded and I drop the idea there itself. Some spots in the old city are good to sketch in the early morning hours only as shops are about to open and streets are yet to get crowded.
The above sketch is done on the spot and later one done on half sheet at home. Sometimes I feel sketching on the spot is more fun as you get to see, sense and feel that place. Obeserve it and actually translate it onto the paper...
